The T1 headphones, with their open design, offer a holistic and truly three-dimensional sound experience. Thanks to the Tesla sound transducers, listeners will feel as if they have been taken right into the middle of a live concert. With this generation, the spatial sound gets a gentle bass boost for a warmer sound experience. With the addition of a new 32 Ohm Tesla driver, the new T1 can be driven effortlessly by most portable audio devices, Tablets, PC’s and smartphones.
The T5 are closed high-end headphones for an impressive sound experience. Listeners can fully enjoy their music, as external noises are reduced. Once again, the transducers are arranged in their classical tilt for a clear and natural sound. This generation improves the sound experience yet again, with a particularly authentic reproduction of sounds, tuned for high-end realism especially in the upper mids. Both headphones are powered by transducers based on beyerdynamic’s legendary Tesla technology. Developed and manufactured at the beyerdynamic headquarter in Heilbronn Germany, the Tesla transducers deliver high sound reproduction even if the source is a less than perfect music player. Both models are Hi-Res Audio certified and guarantee a high-resolution sound playback. Every piece of music is reproduced with all its detail – no other headphones get that close to the original recording.
German craftsmanship to the last detail
In both headphones, sound technology meets high-end materials and design. The T1 and T5 both have yokes of anodized, brushed aluminum; their headbands are covered with Alcantara® which gives them an incredibly special elegance.
The T1’s housing cover looks stunning with a precise but elegant hole pattern that was machined in the lacquered stainless steel using a complex production process. The T5 is based on the design of its sister headphone, but as a closed model its housing cover is an elaborate structure with brushed and lacquered aluminum.
Both models have earpads that ensure that the sound is perfectly balanced and make them incredibly comfortable to wear. This is achieved thanks to a memory foam filling of their earpads, which adapt to the head’s shape through heat and pressure. Breathable soft velour covers for the T1’s earpads, making them fit snugly around the ears. The earpads of the T5 are made from synthetic leather, which helps to shield from external noises.
The T1 and T5 have textile-covered cables that are plugged in at both ends. The cover makes the cables more flexible and a pleasure to handle. Because they are pluggable cables, they can also be easily replaced. The textile sheathing also protects the high-purity OCC7N copper conductors, which ensure the best possible signal transmission. Both headphones can be used with 32 Ohm on both stationary and mobile devices.
